Well the Pro's will be the Horsepower to weight and then the TORQUE of the H22. Cons it will be front end heavy.
The H weighs arround 100lbs more than a D series motor and arround 70lbs more than a B series.
There is not enough room for Powersteering. You can do A/C. With the kit from HCP.

if they're done corectly there really isnt any drivability issues...i have a few friends with them or that had them, 2 of them were hatches and one was a 5g four door, all three were bad *** and the four door went 13.7 on the bone stock motor!!!

*** ps and ac, you are fine withoiut 'em.

a $300 hatch? nice, now get to reading up on H22 swaps!
Sound like a great setup if you want bolt in power without spending another $3000+ on mods.

I got the Idea cause I hate B motors and I've seen pics and read post from fellow Civic owners.........

So That seems like the best thing to do, especially when the H22A engine and trans. cost as much as a 2nd gen. B16A. There's not doubt which one would be faster. And it would give me bragging rights for the cheapest, fastest civic.

Oh Yeah.!!
I Own a H22A 94' Accord EX.......I LOVE THAT CAR.

the whole swap with everything including labor is around 4k. its the best bang for the buck for all motor in my opinion.

you need the following
motor and tranny 2300.00
axles 400.00
mounts 400
install about 1000.00 +bandaids its a tight fit.

$4000 is about what your are looking to spend after everything with an h22 swap, especially if you replace alot of stuff on your motor, ie timing belt, balance shaft belt, water pump...plus there is all the stupid little stuff that will come up (hoses, clamps, fluids...)

Are you planning on doing the swap yourself?

I agree that is the best bang for your buck all motor swap, plus its a stock motor ! That means reliability, motor wise that is.

get the Hasport mount kit...it's the best. and now all there mounts are all billet, not the welded one any more

had a h22 in my del sol and loved it, i didn't spend more then $2500
$1800 for swap
$350 for the hsaport mount (traded a $350 ls short block for the kit)
$150 for axles and mid shaft
$85 from summit for a FAL thin fan
and little nic nack here and there

after you do this swap, you'll gonna love it...and didn't notice any problems with steering...or and drivability, just plain fun

peace

I paid 500 for my POS and I put an H22 in it too. I've got a 13 sec N/A car for under 5000, and with A/C to boot.

first of all for $300 buy that **** tonight!!if you dont you need to be shot..
and for a h22a in there , go for it. it wont handle quite as good but i think for the money and for that kinda power you might as well get it.
i say buy some tools and install it yourself too and maybe get someone with a little experience to help a little.just keep it as a project if you havent installed a motor before and find some good step by step instructions on the swap, and work on it on the weekends or something. I only do my own work for now on,unless theres absolutely no way around it.
