H22 WHP???
I was on http://www.importreview.com looking at all their dyno charts, so I clicked on 2.2 liter and I was looking at all these different H22's and the ranged in WHP SO MUCH.. some completely stock blocks were laying down 170 WHP, while others were only laying down 150 WHP. WTF is up with this?
I wanted to get an H22 swap for my 1998 Civic EX Coupe but I am worried if I go out and buy a motor I will get some lemmon or something that only puts down like 150-160... Does anybody know whats going on? if this is the case, I might as well get a GSR motor or something.
I was really only planning to do Bolt-ons and stuff, maybe a GReddy Turbo kit in the future, nothing rediculous. just a nice little H22 Daily Driver...

Re: H22 WHP??? (WakeSpliter)
the difference could have been that they could have used USDM and JDM motors, they have a compression and header/cat difference. A good friend of mine has a H22, intake, exhaust and he puts down 177whp and like 154 tq. Thats all the mods he has. If you worried you can always ask then to do a leak down or compression check ! other than that u cant really tell.
A H22 with the RIGHT bolt ons can make close to 200whp (tunned) !

I saw recently a 93 CX on the dyno with a JDM H22A (OBD1 P13) with stock H22 header, Injen short ram and custom 2.5" exhaust. The motor was bone stock and it put down 168hp and 153tq. I was fairly impressed with those numbers.

Re: H22 WHP??? (VTECVillain)
150-175 is avg for an h22 with a few bolt ons... but the engine has to be tuned rite, especially on swapped h22s. an h22 with i/h/e and thowing codes prolly wont dyno as much as a bone stock h22 with no engine codes and running strong. get it? if the h22 is running very good, no CEL's and has i/h/e. then 175 - 185 is very much possible.
