GIVE ME SOME IDEAS OR WAYS ON HOW I CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM...I SEEM TO HAVE PLENTY OF OIL COMING OUT THE VTEC SUPPLY HOLE TO THE VTEC AND I HAVE TRIED TO SEE IF THE SOLENOID CLICKS AND IT DOES BY ME PUTTING THE WIRE FROM THE SOLENOID TO THE B+ ON THE BATTERY AND I HEARD IT CLICK..IF IM FORGETTING SOME OTHER STEPS OR NEED TO KNOW MORE ON HOW I CAN FIX THIS.. I NEED TO KNOW SO IF ANYONE KNOWS PLESASE LET ME KNOW....THANKS https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

im running a p28 tuned and ill chech the wiring aagin...but shouldnt vtec come on if i rev the engine to 5500 rpms and manually open the solenoid by putting the wire on the battery terminal b+

see if you can get you hands on stock ecu. try stock p28 or p30. and see if v-tec pops with those stock ecu's

Re: (rpared01)

i would try a a 94-95 gsr p72 or a prelude p13 ecu.

Re: (HondaCivicSiR1)

ive tried stock p13 and the p28 untuned and well i was like mabe it was needing tuning but it still doesnt come on...do i have to have the vtec pressure switch hooked up.. for example if we were tuning the car at the time and the guy made it were i didint need the pressure switch is that ok????if i need the vtec oil pressure switch on let me know we will try that!!! shouldnt the vtec solenoid "pop" if i reved the engine to 5500 rpms and here vtec or should it be driving and then manullly try to engage vtec with a switch or something at 5500 rpms.... let me know!!!! i think the pressure switch needs to be hooked up but do let me know if i dont need that or something since its a swap and all....!!!.................I WAS WANTING TO KN0W AS WELL IF THE VTEC WONT KICK ON BECAUSE SOMETHING COULD BE CLOGGED OR SOMETHING IN THE CYLINDER HEAD.. IF SO LET ME KNOW SOME DETAILS ON HOW I CAN FIX IT IF YOU OR ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIND WAYS OF FIXING OR "POPPING" VTEC I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AND I WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED!!!!!! THANKS AGAIN AND I LOOK FORWARD FOR SOME GOOD COMMENTS!!! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

its your v tec solenoid,it should hear a click when you put the single grn/ylw wire to b+ terminal

Re: (h2b ef sedan)

No its not your solenoid - (to the above poster he did say he heard it click, in the 1st post). Yes, the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch MUST be hooked up for VTEC to work because it works with oil pressure as well. If its not connected vtec will not work because the ecu thinks you have low oil pressure or no oil pressure.

Also make sure you have enough motor oil in your engine - not enough oil = lower oil pressure = vtec pressure switch not activating = no vtec https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif

Hope this helps ya cos I had the same problem once https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
