H22 swap into EG hatch questions
I have read pretty much everything that came up when i did the search on this swap. It doesnt look like its too hard, some minor cutting and wiring but it looks pretty straight forward. I was planning on buying the motor from hmotorsonline. they are asking 2199+shipping(http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30016), are there any better places to get it at?
i know there are several different options for axels, and the stage one DSS axels, does anybody have the site for them?does anybody have any experience with the hasport axels? i can get them for 350 with the swap.
would you guys suggest running the stock clutch set up? i dont plan on boosting any time soon, just n/a for a while.
How hard is it to keep a/c? i noticed alomost everybody has removed the a/c but since i live in arizona i would like to keep my a/c if possible and isnt too much hassle.
does anybody have any good write ups with pics or some good wiring diagrams?? i have seen a couple but the more the better
is there anything else i should know before i get knee deep in this swap?
BTW if it helps i have a 92 civic hatch VX
thanks for all the help in advance!!!!!!!

No bullsh!t but that thread may be 30+ pages long, but the first three pages or so can be your full complete guide to do the swap , and the other 27+ will be simple solutions to your axle/ecu/iacv/iat..etc any other minor issues you may have.
Being that you have a 92 VX it'll cut out running egr/v-tec wiring so that's a plus.
dss = http://www.driveshaftshop.com
you will hear alot of setups and different issues with the axle setup...you just have to try it first then diagnose your problem...long/short then adjust accordingly (binding on low drops may affect axle setup also)
Stock clutch is fine to run...but if you will replace clutch, then why not do an easy upgrade...personally speaking i would.
Other than that...just use all the elder h22 swap resources (people on board) you have here and they'll help as they helped me get up and running

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by enigma94 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">thanks! anybody else have any input? i am really puzzled on the a/c thing.....</TD></TR></TABLE> why are you puzzled? if youve read prior post then you should already know that you can keep A/C. you need the HCP bracket and bolt in the A/C as if your car were stock. It's a tight fit but it WILL work. My A/C works great.
