H22 swap alternator noise / squeal
I figured this would be the best spot for this post. I have a 94 civic with a h2b swap. Im having problems with a squealing alternator belt upon startup and at times when I downshift. It is the stock civic alternator with the Explicit Speed bracket. Im running a 32 inch 3 ribbed belt from autozone. I have tried more tension on the belt, and the noise went away when i started her up. That car sat for approximately 20 minutes. When I started back up, the loud screech started back up and lasts until I start driving. The belt looks fine, I can not figure out why this is happeneing. Any one have any ideas?

Re: (h2b_eg8)
you can try using a longer M8-1.25 bolt and threading a nut into the backside of the alternator on the tensioning bolt. I'm going to try this next
