Technically it WOULD be better but the 97-01 Prelude engine is much harder to find, and more expensive.

We do all of our cars, and customer cars, to OBD-1. Why? For starters, we mostly have OBD-1 swaps. Also, it's very easy with an ECU harness, that we make and carry, to use on the car. Also, when you switch over to OBD-1, there's less sensors to worry about, such as crank angle sensor, 2nd O2 sensor, misc air intake sensors, etc. Plus, there's a little bit more power achieved out of an OBD-1 setup. But if you are set on staying OBD-2, then that's very easily obtainable as well but to simply matters, and to have more parts available (such as ECU tunability), go with an OBD-1 setup in your OBD-2 car.
