well I wish I could thank you guys for the help, but as of yet I have yet to be guided in the right direction. I am well aware of cuting and placing the shifter box where ever it needs to go. However, the shifter location of a del sol is about 3" further back then the eg shifter location. So if the shifter box was moved 3" further forward then it would be inside the dash. So back to my original question. Does anyone know how to overcome this problem in a del sol, not an eg civic? Any real help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

get your center console out, HOOK UP THE LINKAGE on the tranny, and place it where you want, on the exhaust tunnel any way! thats how i determined where to cut. . move the shifter from side to side to be sure the bulky thing won't hit the console, my nuespeed shifter kit, pictured above hit my console, good thing i don't use one any way!

I know a place where you can send in your current shifters, and they will rebuild it for you (brand new components) and make it longer to your specs.

Re: h22 into del sol question about shift linkage (pilmpd)
I have done the h22 into a sol, and you should have no problem with the shifter. Place it in the exact position as the stock sol shifter and cut out a little more of the hole for the prelude shifter. You will have to notch out the front subframe and run the cables up next to the firewall. This is how I did mine and never had a problem with it. If you give me your email address, I will send you pics of it.
