Hey guys,

in the middle of putting a H22 into an EG and when i went to extend the alternator wires i realised the civic alternator plug only has three wires and the H22 has 4.

has anyone else encountered this problem? what do i do?

also does anyone know the alternator pinouts for the civic and prelude?

both OBD1 by the way.

One wire must go to ALT F - D9
Another wire must go to ALT C - A16
that must leave either a dash charging light or dash fusebox??

i dunno, help needed.

why does my civic harness only run a three wire anyway?

after checking the connectors on my ecu i've figured out that the fourth wire thats missing off the original civic harness is ALT C - ECU pin A16.

ALT F - D9 is there and the other two wire colour codes match up.

so i'll just add ALT C (which is green/white from the H22 alternator plug) into an empty slot in the harness connector and wire it from there to A16 on the ECU.

sound right?

why wouldn't my civic alternator have ALT C?

as long as the black/yellow wire is hooked up then your good to go

well did this work, im having the same problem with my swap. mine is an obd0 civic with a h22 obd1.
