i know that the tiptronic tranny has more stuff on it so it a little harder of a install than a manual.

Dont get me wrong i love driving standard but once and a while in trafic i wish i had the brianless driving of a auto. that is why i was thinking of that tranny. the best of both worlds.

Not to mention it would be rare to see a civic with a tiptronic tranny.

thanks for your help and keep the info coming,

Richard

i suspect it wont fit since the auto tranny's are larger than the 5 spds and the 5spd is a tight enough fit as it is...

I would imagine that you would also have to use the prelude ecu because I am sure there is a lot of computer controlled crap on that as well. I can imagine that the mounts, wiring, and mounting the shifter in the car would be a nightmare but would very cool for a daily driver car if you could get it all to work. Good Luck
