H22 Innovative Mount kit axle issue 92 civic
So since changing over from HCP to innovative and there is axle binding on the passenger side. And from some reason, If i tighten the mount completely down it puts the trans side higher than the driver side and makes the motor unlevel. I'm not sure if this is how its supposed to be. But it doesn't sound right. I can get pictures later if you guys don't know what i'm talking about. Its a strange issue. I suppose i could get a shorter axle, but that still doesn't help if the motor angle is messed up
FIXED: 86-89 Integra axle works for the passenger side with this mount kit. And the accord half shaft + 90-93 integra axle works for driver side.

accord half shaft with 90-93 integra axles. Driver side is fine. Only the passenger side binds. I think i might raise the car up a tad to see if i can correct the issue. Or see if i can find a prelude inner.

anyone know of an axle thats half an inch shorter than the 90-93 teg axle? I want to try the 88-89, but i think it might be wayyyy to short being that it is 1-1.25" shorter than the teg axle. Maybe i'll just get a custom axle from my cousins friends axle shop.

yea i dunno, when i get home ill measure my axles i got for my swap.. they are Reaxles, they have a set that they custom make for the H22-EG swap. Im just a bit alarmed on the whole Innovative set up.. that if you torque them all the way down, your engine is lop sided.... i dont like that.

Re: H22 Innovative Mount kit axle issue 92 civic
I'm having axle issues with my eg coupe with a b16 swap. I did the swap everything went fine I go to drive the car and it sounds like the passenger side axle is binding while turning. The axles I used are the ones that came with the motor and trans, could they be the wrong ones for my car? I also jacked up the front end and spun the wheels at about 10-15 mph and turned the wheel lock to lock and I didn't get any noise. I also have a del sol with a b16 and the axles appear to be the same ones. I also removed the axles disassembled them and they look fine. Any ideas?

Does this look straight? Just tightened everything up. I'll have a pic up later of the axle angle. It looks weird to me. Maybe this is normal for the Innovative kit.

Now that i think about it. I took that picture when i jacked the motor up to where i thought was level. I bolted it up. I'll get another picture tonight with my camera.

Does anyone know of an axle that is 1/2" shorter than the 90-93 integra axle? I think i'm going to try an 86-89 teg axle in the next couple of days to see if that will help the binding. It binds pretty bad at 5mph.

if your talking about what the OP did, yes he took 2 axles and swapped the inner half to mate with the Trans/half-shaft.
The axles i spoke of "Reaxles" are direct fit and were about 300ish shipped.. they are under the link "Hybrid axles" and if you order them you have to make it clear which half shaft your using (prelude or accord) they are different.

The axles just snap in. If you use the 90-93 accord half shaft. You can use the integra half shaft with no swapping of ends. The 86-89 integra axles fit without swapping inners also. I just expanded the circlip dealio. I went h2b so I don't have this bastard combo anymore. Although i do have the axles and halfshafts laying around if anyone is interested :D
