h22 inbto a 90 accord, what belts do you use for power steering and ac?
my friend is swapping an h22 into his 90 accord. he wants to keep his power steering and ac. but the prelude belts are wider than the accord. he wants to make sure that if he were to put the crank pulley of the accord on the h22, that the belts (being skinnier) would still be strong enough for potential rubo setup down the road.
is that extra 1-2 teeth/guides on the belts and pulley neccisary? or can he just keep the prelude pulley and just run a smaller belt, hoping to god it wont skip or misalign.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
btw, he doesnt want to discharge his r12 freon into the atmosphere so he is hoping for hte most painless procedure available.

actually, it should fit just fine.
just use the belts that come with the h22. u can shorten them if u like.. i use a 36inch belt on my alternator.. as for the ac/ and ps.. dunno.

The more things you power with one belt, the thicker it should be. I have one belt powering my alternator and using a 4 groove instead of the 6 would have been fine. Thread above has the best suggestion, do a measurement with string and bring it to a parts store and tell them how many things u plan on powering with it, they should be able to recommend a proper/minimum width.
