Default H22 Heater Hose Help!!

So my heater hose blew off the back of the engine bay the other day, and when I put a new one on, I noticed that it gets pinched off because of the angle on it. The spout on the block faces upwards, so the hose has to go on that and then come down which causes it to kink right there. It's just a regular piece of 3/4" hose that I'm using. Are you guys using a special hose w/a angle on it? If so, would that be the prelude or the civic hose or what?

Were you using any type of clamp to hold it on there?

what i did was use a hose with a 90* bend in it and the use *real* hose clamps to get that sucker on there...no bends, fits perfect!

i've used the civic and prelude heater core hoses with no problems. But as mentioned before use REAL clamps those honda ones really suck and always leak if you ask me, they are only good when they are brand new.

Just go to your local hardware store and buy like 6 feet of hose. Then you can cut it to any length and then clamp it down with screw clamps so you know it wont come off again..

May the force be with you young Jedi!!

Yep. Just grab some hose and connect those bad boys. Make sure they are clamped tight with some hose connectors. I've had mine rollin around for a while and no probs at all

With a straight hose, wouldn't it bend at the curves? I had to buy a prelude heater hose and cut to make it fit.

I'm just using regular 3/4" heater hose right now. It kinks up at the end on the block because it needs to go down, so I was wondering if anyone else had had the same problem.

If you have the hose long enough there is no need to bend it at all..
