Ok I have a f22b1 block from my 95 Honda Accord EX and I have a h22 head from a 2001 Honda prelude and I am trying to mate them together. I am simply wondering what people think the best way is to block off the 2 extra oil channels on the head. If you don't know, but you know someone who does can you point me in their direction? I just need some ideas..

You could have a local machine shop weld the oil channels up and then resurface the head.

Sounds like a great idea. But I wonder how much $$ this is going to run me? Also I got some other issues I need to figure out. I heard the crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley is different on the f22 and to make the h22 timing belt fit you got to get a h22 crankshaft pulley and custom make a f22/h22 water pump. ? Someone takes the pulley from a h22 water pump and presses it onto a f22 water pump because the h22 water pump does not fit on the f22 block?? ??

I also heard something about custom stuff that needs to be done to the water pipe? Does the thermostat housing on the h22 head not work with the f22 water pipe?

I have lots of stuff to figure out ASAP. I have no car and I need my car !!!

does the f22 block have 85mm bores?

yes all the f22's have 85mm bore i've recently done this swap myself but i used the F20B head which mathces the f22's 85mm bore and i used the f22a1 head gasket. it has way more power than the F20B and everything is bone stock from head to block. The only thing with the F20B head is that it has type s cams which really gives the powerband a nice kick.
I dont know why people say the low compression makes it crappy but i can vouch for it that it has ***** and its only the f22a1 block with the f22a1 prelude trans imagine the f23 block. I will try and post some pics soon.

im not sure but the h22 head has 53cc's and the f20b has 54.3cc's because the 11.0:1 piston cr so not sure if that drops the compression more than 8.4:1 or maybe it leaves the same cr as the f22, but i doubt it.

Bring this back from the dead. Lol, but I've been thinkin about doing this same thing since I got a good price on those two items. I have a type s h22 head with a F22 block then together I picked up for about $200. Both conplete. I was thinkin about putting the F20b pistons in the F22 block n leaving everything else stock. If my calculations are correct that set up with the pistons n head will bump the CR to 12.3 which isn't bad for an all motor set up. Leave the pistons stock tho n u will get like a 8.3 CR. But i kno about the head being plugged and the water pump. But I have heard about the water pipe in the back being an issue but don't know to what extend

That setup should out you in the 11-11.5:1 CR. As far as the water pipe goes. IIRC You will need half and half. The block end is F22 and the housing end is H22. Cut them in half and have them welded together. or use a rubber coupling. You will also need the H22 thermostat housing.
