Default H22 euro R single runner intake mani

HMO's got them for $299, just wondering if this is a good deal, investment, or just wait for the skunk2. I am thinking the skunk2 would be similar and more $$$.

What kind of advantage and disadvantage will there be?

I heard there's a lot of mods that have to be done to make it work correctly.

I read a how-to at one time, and although it did produce like 8 WHP, it was a PAIN to install.

I'll see if I can find it for you.

There was a member who made a complete walk-thru on the installation of it. But it's in the archives

Just wait for the skunk2 manifold. It's supposed to be out really soon. I saw an ad for it in the newest import tuner.

Yeah, I've seen it in person an it looks almost exactly like the Euro Type R manifold. We're trying to get a "sample" before they're released to try it out... our excuse is that we're testing it for clearance

Otherwise, you can always do it the "ghetto" way... remove the butterfly stacks and run like that. We have that done to a 98 Civic w/H22 and it pulls good in the top end, but you can slightly feel some loss in the low end (but with a H22 motor, a "little loss in the low end" still feels more torquey compared to a B20 setup )

I asked about removing the stacks when i first got my engine and was told by just about everyone not to do it unless i had a built head.

I will prob get cams and springs down the road. I was mostly told port and polish. The euro and skunk2 are just solid pieces with the stacks removed anyways right.

A few lbs in the low end isn't gonna hurt the HB i don't think
