Re: h22 ek hatch vs gsr ek hatch??? (GOLDBERG)
I would say that the h22 hatch would most likely be faster off the line, but the GSR hatch would probably catch it on the top end.
My best time in my 99 hatch w/h22 was only 14.6@94 (on street tires) I mis-shifted, but it was still my best run of the night...
If you were thinking about swapping the H22 into a civic then I would probably reccomend the GSR motor, but only if your getting a good deal on it. Otherwise I wold take the h22, but I wanted mine as a daily driver and the extra vibration that the hard mounts cause bothers me. You could use oem mounts to put a gsr motor in a civic, and it would be good as factory

Re: h22 ek hatch vs gsr ek hatch??? (GOLDBERG)
It depends on a lot of factors besides the swap itself: skill level of driver, suspension, wheels/tires, etc.
I have a 92 VX with a 99 B18C1 swap, the motor is completely stock internally. I have the usual bolt-ons, so nothing out of the ordinary. The best time I ran was 13.7@102mph. I let my friend take it down the track once and he ran a 15.4

Like mentioned above, the H22A off the line and the B18C will catch it in the topend. WOW only a 14.6 @ 94?????? Was there MAJOR traction issues? I went 14.6 @ 95.8 in a 94 GS-R with only i/h/e and 135k on the engine and stock susp.

As stated above "On street tires", and "Mis-shifted a gear"
Can you grip at the track with street tires?
Edit: My h22 is completely OEM all the way down to the sparkplug wires. Only thing different is the 2.5" exhaust pipe, and short ram intake.
I had an offer to trade my h22 for a b18c1 and let me tell you it is still on my mind. I just dont have the money to buy all the extra little stuff to swap back to a B-series

oooooook, what are you launching at? And mine was done on Street tirestoo. Isn't that the point of seeing what your car runs? If you run on slicks at the track then go to a street race and someone says so what does it run and you say 14.0 @ 99mph but forget to mention it was on slicks then thats just BS. Your car isn't a 14.0 sec car on the street with street tires so whats the point of running slicks on a street car??????? I'll never understand that! to you and your driving skills!

Well then the relevence of anything you have posted is Zero. Cuz the Title of the Thread clearly says GSR EK's Vs. H22 EK.......as in CIVIC....not GSR INTEGRA
So dont think I care how heavy your car is considering that Any of the times that I have run in my hatch were with full interior and A/C. And I weigh 200+ so either way Our cars would have weighed about the same.

man STFU Boosted. You're a moron.
As far as b18c catching an h22 on the 'top end'.....I'm going to say from experience that it's not the case.
I'm a CX with over 50 sq feet of Brown Bread, full interior, a/c, and a system with an h22..suffice it to say the setup isn't all that 'light'.

Oh ya?
Since when was the last time was someone "not" able to post because you're being a ******* tool. You are bashing my boy SilverEj6 for absolutely no reason, and insulting him personally for driving; trying to corner him into saying he doesn't know how to drive.
Now you're trying to come to a point that no one messes up during driving. Isn't that just cute. I'm sure you are just a Pro-stock 4 second top fueler.
On top of that, making completely immature insults to hot_EH, talking about tampons. You won't get far by making dumbass insults like that. Your post ALSO included false information, which can get you banned. So unless you have prove for a B18C pulling on an H22A mod for mod, I would be happy to see some experience or information on this. Just FYI. So watch your posts.
Your nonsense posting is completely OT and is not needed. I, as well as others would appreciate if you would contribute to what GOLDBERG has originally asked in this thread, otherwise you can get the **** off and move to the next thread for helping someone out.
Peace.

I'm noticing all the **** talkers with the exception of GOLDBERG(he's the one asking the question so go figure how he's talking ****) have H22A civic! Hmmmmmmm a lil bias are we? Poison, you stfu, you're a freaking tool. How the hell is saying a GS-R hatch will pull a h22a hatch false info. When it really comes down to the driver. You idiot stfu.
Say I had my B18C put into a hatch and raced silver whatever the **** his name is, who do you think would win that race? me since it laid down 14.6's in a GS-R, I'd just have to learn over how to harness the power to the ground in a lighter chassis.
My hatch now would more than likely eat all your H22's for breakfast lunch and dinner. What you got to say now and I did contribute to the thread with my very 1st post. Is your pad full poison?

Yes, it does come down to the driver. But, BOTH being equal drivers, BOTH having the same exact mods, who is gonna win? Displacement. H22 is the B18 with more displacement, incase you didn't know that.
Of course many other things like gear ratios, how the motor is tuned and such comes into play, BUT, being the same technology, and everything else, there is no way a GSR will pull an H22 in the same car.
The ITR swap is more comparable to the h22 swap. The GSR is out of play by far.
Hmm, and I'm the tool? I still see no proof from the point you are trying to make.

Oh really? Let's see. He has a COUPE which is slightly heavier, if you have thrown it into a hatch. If you two had the SAME car, him having an h22 swap and you having your Godly GSR swap, provided both of you have the same driving skills and both up and running to par, I GUARENTEE you the h22 will win.
Displacement with the same technology. Did he NOT just say he missed 2nd?
With my 93 EX coupe, I ran 14.4 @ 98 with no traction as well (2.5 60') on ***** street tires AND at 4200 ft elavation. I now have a 92 VX hatch that I know will be 13's easy, especially at sea level. Hell even with the coupe, 98 mph is even 13 second range. You gonna talk **** on that too?
My friend who has a GSR CX hatch, completely gutted best time was a 14.1 @ 94 mph at the same track, and he had drag radials. Kinda funny if you ask me.

I find it more amusing that you STILL have no proof, and now you're claiming you'll eat an H22 civic for lunch and dinner as if you walk all over it. Stop making me laugh.

My hatch now would more than likely eat all your H22's for breakfast lunch and dinner. What you got to say now and I did contribute to the thread with my very 1st post. Is your pad full poison?

Whoa! Let's see here. At the top of the thread you said "I'm noticiing all the **** talkers with the exception of GOLDBERG have H22A civic!"
See, what you said in the last quote bars, is what I like to call **** TALKING!. What a coinsedence!
I find it more amusing that you STILL have no proof, and now you're claiming you'll eat an H22 civic for lunch and dinner as if you walk all over it. Stop making me laugh.
Is my pad full? Yes, because you just made me laugh my *** off. You also seem to have an obsession with tampons. Were you born on the rag or what?

Re: (poison)
It's apparent you're a H22A ****! God forbid something happen to the H22A.
You obviously have no clue about a B18C! Yes I said you're a tool, just look how you jumped out and started defending your bathroom break friend.
I started my 1st comment with a question to Siver. He replied in a defensive manner. I was like WTF take a chill pill in my head but he ranted on and on about BS. all i did was ask if there was major traction issues and what his launch rpm was. I was gonn offer some good experienced advised for him, but his Tampon got full all of a sudden.
Your pad is soaked too and you're making me laugh to bro! We'd more than likely have a ball hanging out toghether. Was I born on a rag? No I'm just coming to the realisation that alot of the members here are ****. Not all some noone else please take offense to that if I haven't mentioned you. I come here for help and to give help, plan and simple. If you want to questio that then take a good look at my 1st reply. I tried to offer a comparison hopefully leading to a decission on how he could improve his times. It's apparent it can go faster as he pointed out 50 times that he mis 2nd gear. Guess what? **** happens and sometimes for the better. when I went 14.6 I was in 1st gear having to decided wether or not to break something from major wheel hop or to ease off the gas and take a lower et. I stayed on the gas and had a personal best and pulled yes pulled a Chevelle SS. Not saying he was running 100% but I was defineatly pulling him in.
Anyhow, try to not be so **** or defensive Silver. Poison I'm sure he can take care of himself and doesn't need your long biographies to help him out.

Re: (BlownB18BHB)
Actually I have friends with B18C's and I love 'em. I just (obviously) chose the H22A set up for my car. But that is completely OT.
So I DO! have a clue about the B18C. You're a tool as well. I'm not defending, I'm simply making a clear point to you that B18C won't walk an H22A and giving you an experienced lesson, to help you out so you don't tell other people "yea dude, my b18c walked his h22a for lunch and dinner" when it didn't happen!
Unless of course the driver fucked up or the B18C had nawsssssss.
You just love the tampon don't ya? I'm damn sure we'd have a ball hanging. I have no grief with ya man. I'm just giving you a hard punch point.
There is not a lot of **** people here. Just hardcore and want to know absolute answers with no BS. Because false info costs $$.
I come here to give help the most I can as well, and get help when needed.
Both the B18C and H22A are awesome set ups for hybrids.
Yes **** happens, he missed 2nd. So what? Not a bad time for missing 2nd. I ran 15.00 flat when I missed 2nd. **** happens huh? So I came back and got a good run.
Everyone does it. Plain and simple.
I know Silver can take care of him self. Like I said, I'm giving you another part of a point, and from my experience that it's not gonna happen. But there are millions of factors that come into play as I'm definitely sure you know.
And I am by far not one who types long biographies. Wait till you visit here a little longer. You will know what I'm talking about. I just organize my posts more to make it easier to read, rather than type one HUGE paragraph and such like ::cough:: someone ::cough:: does.
peace.
