less parasitic drag on the motor vs more vibration in the car.

I can't tell you from first hand experience since I still have mine, but most people say its not bad at all.

My friend siad he could feel a little more vibration in the peddle but he siad he could live with it. I don't know if you have seen this but here is a dyno with just the belt removed. And I think it answers your question too. Here ya go:

the balance shafts run parallel to the crank right above it. The belt runs just inside the T-Belt.

Anybody with a hybrid already has increased vibration from the aftermarket performance mounts so are those shafts really making a noticeable difference?

I highly doubt it.

How long should I set aside to disable them? Is it a 5min job? Just cutting the belt, or maybe removing is the more prefferred term

if you just cut the belt it will take 10 min, you have to take the timing belt cover off/on. Kaixen speed makes a eliminator kit http://www.kaizenspeed.com/products_AA.html

Does taking off the balncer shaft make your bearing wear faster? I'm going to be putting in acl rod and main bearings and want to make sure I'm not going to do anything to spin a bearing.

hasport mounts and this made hardly any difference. the free'd up power is definatly there, although i'm sketchy on our oil pump failure issues on the high end more than bearings

hopefully a damper will work well enough. Any one know if any of the aftermarket dampers will fit in a dc/eg chassis with no mods
