h22 accord won't start oil and battery lights stays on
the car won't start, the engine is turning over but not starting the oil and battery lights stays on, I tried to start it it blows white smoke for almost 30 seconds and then stopped , the car was running rough and backfiring like hell. I shut the car off and now it won't start the oil and battery lights stays on only. Pulled up the head, head gasket dark black, corrosion and burned oil on the block Any ideas?

Im thinking the battery light and oil light is just on because the engine isn't started. As far as the engine not starting, hell just look at the picture man. Did you drain the coolant and oil before pulling the head?

Head gasket is toast, or more accurately, was toast before you yanked the head.
Clean it up REALLY well, new HG, and make damn sure you've got mechanical timing right. I f you hadn't posted about the HG I would have though along the lines of cam timing being out 180.
