H22 or Accord underdrive race pulley for H22 into MKII CRX
From reading the Hasport h22 into CRX guide I am looking for an underdrive race pulley off a prelude or accord for the h22 engine into a 1989 CRX.
Where is the best place to source these? ebay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
Just wanted to check what others have done to get round this.
thanks in advance

You should just run A factory crank pulley so you can keep the damper, I have seen alot of problems from those pulleys without damper, like the oil pump gears breaking It will give you longer bearing life, you should definetly run A pulley with A damper.

Re: H22 or Accord underdrive race pulley for H22 into MKII CRX (dragline)
Can I modify my stock pulley or modify one of the ebay pulleys?
Clamp and a saw? Or will that be unbalanced and cause me problems.
I have no need for air con, I would just like a single belt pulley (as shown in the Sport Compact Car, H22 into CRX guide)
Thanks for the replies guys

You can run one of those billet pulleys, I'm just use to building turbo cars where little things like A damper help alot.

So I could just modify my stock pulley? and then I'd have the damper
Or order an aftermarket one just make sure it comes with a damper?

I went for the ebay one in the end and have hacked off the air con pulley to make the pulley thinner. When I get the engine back from the shop I shall compare the 2 pulleys and make sure its safe to swap otherwise I'll get in contact with NOPI or unorthadox to see if they can help me out maybe.
Can I not keep the stock damper and swap the pulleys? or is the damper attached to the stock pulley? My engine is out of my garage so I cannot have a look right now. It should be back within a couple of weeks.

Why run a stock crank pulley if two things you dont have AC and PS? There is not enough room to run AC or PS no matter what anyone says but you could get away running the stock pulley with some modification (cutting) into the driverside inner wheel well? but why? spend the $225 like I did and get an unorthodox alt. only pulley!!!!! it shaves off 6 lbs or more!!!

Also I saw you posted about the H22 crx traction bars. It is really almost impossible to use an off the shelf traction bar system. Most to all will hit the crank pulley with the radius arms. I can either sale the one on my car, or make one for $350 shipped. Chromoly arms its a real nice piece the one in my car has the option of you using a EG half size radiator or the stock crx one like I am using.
Also like briam said "if the stock radius arms dont hit then the full race one will fit" theres your answer. That aint happening hit me up with any questions from install custom motor mounts to wirring done it all!!!! I am sure everyone knows this but ill post it up again.
!!!$495 shipped!!! EF 88-91 Civic/Crx H22A motor mount kits available!!!

Are you going to be going turbo with this swap?
The reason I ask is because I see your sig.. that says 9:0:1 compression

Re: H22 or Accord underdrive race pulley for H22 into MKII CRX (djnikko)
My eventual goal is to turbo charge the h22, but im gonna have to get it running N/A first of all.
You think i'll be able to start it up running that compression on the stock ECU? Just to get to the bodyshop and dyno?
If not I could start doing the turbo conversion from day one, just would be alot to chew on...
