Default h22 accord hot weather problem

Hi everyone, I'm new here - i've got an h22 accord and an sr20det 240. i haven't actually done any real work on the accord in over a year (other than a wheel bearing 2 weeks ago) so i've kinda lost some of my h knowledge. right now my accord is having problems when its started either in hot weather or with a hot engine. It fires up fine, but when you drive it, it runs really poorly - like its in limp mode or the the timing is way off. it just kinda sputters and sounds like a retarded harley or something... sometimes if i hold it in the higher rpm's (4k or so) it'll go back to normal - lately its been doing this, but then going back to sputter after a few minutes. the car has no problems when the weather is cold or when the engine is cold. it isn't throwing any codes either. I searched a bit, but couldn't find anything quite like this. any help is appreciated
