Default GSR TB on d16y8 REALLY need help! please! (searched)

i have a d16y8, which is obdII... i recently put on an OBDI GSR throttle body on it. it came with the FITV, so it bolted right up (yes i used a GSR gasket)... i removed my TPS sensor and put it on the new throttle body, i know it needs calibrated, but when i loosen the screws on the TPS-- it will not turn any more in the direction i need it to. (it sits at like 1700 rpms).

what do you guys think is the problem?

sounds like you have a vacuum leak.
You need to check the voltage coming off the TPS before calling that the problem.

Tps are a b series/d series universal they all use the same one. Definitely get your tps set correctly, that may be the answer to your problem. I switched out my tps on my gsr motor with on from an ls tb, and tried to wing it on the setting and check engine light came on and had very little rpm band, car shifted at 4k at best. I have an afc neo which made setting the sensor so much easier than the voltmeter way. Hope this helps.
