GSR swapped EG hatch. Exhaust contemplations.
Alright. I've searched. Found a few arguments... but they are just that... arguments... no evidence. So... anyone who can help out, help is greatly appreciated.
1993 CX hatch
1995 USDM GSR - going to retain stock exhaust manifold
Options
1. Stock GSR manifold, find a cat, put flange on stock piping and bolt it all together.
2. Stock GSR manifold, find a cat, make a section to fill gap, buy aftermarket catback.
3. Buy 1996 ITR manifold (I hear the ITRs are longer... 4" maybe), find cat, and it will bolt up to an aftermarket catback made for the chassis.
If the ITR manifold (in particular the 1996) is longer than the GSR manifold, let me know. Or I heard that the B16 headers fill the gap between stock cat and exhaust. Will the stock B16 manifold work the same as the ITR?
Thanks.
Shaun.
