gsr swap question
I have a 2000hatch and I want to put in a b18c1 or a b16A. I called hmotorsonline.com and they said that they have a 97 gsr motor and a 96 b16a.
I know the gsr motor is obd2a and I have obd2B...he said that there is something diff about the ecu plugs.I was wondering if thats an issue.
thanks for any info.

here's what steve is talking about...
1. gsr comes with a 2 piece wire harness (while you have a 1 piece wire harness, therefore you have to use yours and add vtec, ks, etc or you use a 99-00 ex or si harness where you skip those wires because they're already incorporated in there)
2. ecu plugs are different because obd2a ecu plugs are different from obd2b ecu plugs therefore you cant plug a 99-00 wire harness up to your obd2a ecu. you would need to get a obd2b p72 ecu or run a obd2b conversion to obd1 and run a obd1 p72/chipped p28.
hope that answers your ?
