Default GSR swap into a 93 civic dx.

First off, Hey everyone! I'm from clubcivic.com and never really checked this site out much but I'm in need of lots of help.

I'm swapping in a 99 GSR motor into my ej2 (93 dx) I have everything I need for the swap so I just need to know everything there is to know about swaping in the motor myself. I'm going to call a friend of mine that has done this swap before but I don't know if he can make it. here's what I need to know:

A list of ALL tools I'll need. (sizes of sockets and everything)
A little help on wiring up vtec. (I have the list of the 7 wires I need to check)
ANY tips and pointers!

I konw the basics of swapping the engine but I want to know what I'm getting into. I want to get it in over a weekend. (working all day saturday and most of the day sunday)
thanks for all the help in advaced!

you should use your stock wireharness and back date your engine ( example use obd1 injectors, and alternator if you don't want to hack into the harness for these things ) change your factory 1 wire oxygen sensor to a 4wire, add a vtec wires, and if you are using the stock im then you have to add iab, more wires ( i used a skunk2 im ) use your new motor mounts if you have them. I am sorry I am half asleep so this is all I can think of right now!! Good luck
as far as tools a 8,10,12,14,17,19mm sockets and ratchet, and same size wrenches nothing special.
check out honda hybrids web page for more wiring
DON'T RUSH

ok first off, jetspd is misinforming you of a a couple things....

1) you don't need to back date your engine to OBD1 electronics
and
2) 92-95 DX's do not have a single wire 02, they have a 4-wire 02. Only the CX models have a 1-wire 02 sensor.

Although his tool information is correct, and to add, you'll need a 32mm socket for your axle nuts.

now that thats outta the way...
You can leave the engine in its OBD2 format, all you gotta do is find yourself an OBD2 (96-01) integra engine harness. If your 99 GSR engine is US and it has the engine harness, uncut, still attached to it -- USE IT. Thats the key engine harness to use with your specific swap, because it's backwards compatible with an OBD1 vehicle, such as yours 93 DX.

Everything will plug n' play too, no need to wire in VTEC because all 1992 civics have VTEC wiring embedded in the cabin harness to ->passengerside shock tower. only thing you'll have to wire in is the knock sensor.

What ecu are you planning to use ?
