gsr swap into 90 hatch or ls/vtec
would i be happy with the gsr swap into my civic hatch the weights a lil over 2200 with me in it? i drove my friends gsr and i liked it i can only imagine how it would be in a lighter car, plus i can get the swap and trow on some bolt ons and dont have to worry about smog every other year
ls/vtec i can prolly build an lsvtec to be way fast than the gsr but would it be reliable?cuz i heard that they arent if you run high comp pistons.12+

I would go complete gsr changeover with the hydro trans and get the hasport mounts and linkage and convert to OBD1. you will not regret it and you can make it smog legal. ls vtec is not bad but a little more work to make smog legal.

ya man... ur in cA, just get the jdm gsr and get BAR certified. head swaps are illegal... from what i understand. that would be a fun, street legal car... gl

Either one would make a nasty street/track car in an EF chassis. Since you are in CA as mentioned, I would go with the GSR due to smog/bar. With regard to the LSVTEC, motors are only as reliable as they are built. If they are built properly there is no reason why they can't be as good if not better in most cases than a factory built motor. It all comes down to the parts used and how well the work is done.

Re: gsr swap into 90 hatch or ls/vtec (VTECVillain)
I recently got my GSR in EF swap through the Referee and in talking to him, he said that he would NOT pass a car that had a head swap that required the external oil feed line (LSVTEC). Another Referee may view it differently.
Go with the GSR
