Hey if the barometric pressure sensor is not working right would that make vtec not kick in ?

do a search on the code # your getting. look at the symptoms(sp?) others had. or try another known good ecu.

Yea, tell us what CEL codes you have. What year GSR so you have? Code 21 and 22 are Vtec trouble codes. If you have either of those chances are Vtec will not function.

Grab a wire about 4" in length, bend it into a U shape. Grab the service connector under the dash board near the passenger kick panel (above the ECU), put it into the brown wire & grn/wht wire service connector plug (this usually has a green boot around the two plugs), jump the wire and then put the key in the ON position.

The CEL should blink a certain amount of times.

One long blink = 10
One short blink = 1

Example: Two long blinks and 1 short blink = 21.

Post up the code you are getting and we'll help you from there.

Na a shop is doing the work for me . I was just trying to help them get the job done . they said that they have a wire for the bero sensor but they don't have no where on the ecu to put it have any one had this problem befor . If so give me some ideas on what they can do .

Go to another shop. The Baro sensor is in the ECU.

ok they found out the problem . the wire harnes to the ecu was bad in one conector . thanks guys . finaly Vtec power
