gsr swap...have some wiring questions
typo in the thread name. my bad
So im doing an OBD1 gsr swap into my eg bubble. right now im in the process of doing the wire tuck and extending all the wires. But i have some questions about wiring in vtec. the car is a 1994 civic CX model. Im using the civic cx car harness and the gsr engine harness. if you look at the pictures theres a part that has 2 vacuum hoses on it and looks like a vacuum breather with a plug with 2 wires in it. What is this piece and do i need it. I have searched all over the net and have come up with nothing.
secondly...the spot for the knock sensor is plugged up with what looks like a factory bolt/plug. Do i need to wire in a knock sensor on a OBD1 motor and ecu?
any help with this would be great. thanks in advance guys. i have used the search button here and on google and came up with nothing.

for the first picture, i believe you can just toss that. Not really sure what it is for and I never ran it in my gsr swap. Second picture looks like the knock sensor is broken. You can leave it that way and have your tuner disable it.

First picture is EVAP, you can delete it if you want with no check engine light.
Secondly thats not a bolt, your knock sensor is broken off you need a new one.

Re: gsr swap...have some wiring questions
only reason why i ask is because when i got the motor, the harness was plugged into every sensor on the motor. there was no plug that i removed from that area. all the plugs that i have already wrapped for the tuck have been accounted for. with no plugs left over.
as far as the evap purge solenoid. if i just disconnect it, will the motor run funny or just like normal. I have removed the a/c and heat from the vehicle and dont plan on putting it back in.
will having a tuner shut off the knock sensor affect the motor? driveability or idling?
will it also affect vtec engaging if the sensor is shut off?
