Default gsr swap with "jrsc" piston melted 1-4

Well what do you think caused this, the check engine light was on checked cel code 1 oxygen sensar when i pulled motor out found that the idiot who hooked the air to fuel guage with but connector came looose so wire was dissconnected. Can this cause the engine to run lean which inturn detonate, causing the 1-4 pistons to melt. What do you guy's here think, please i plan on doing lsvtec now cause the b18c1 block is screwed up, i just don't want this to happen again on new setup thankx, here's setup jdm gsr swap b16 tranny basically stock motor with jackson racing super charger, p28 in 92 cx hatch.Only modification is b16 tranny and cold air intake and p28, stock fuel pump stock injectors stock everything hope this helps thanks

sorry to hear about that. you should sleeve it to and do oversized pistons. but an ls block will be a cheper way to go with simular power as the gsr. keep us posted with the new plans<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 912 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well what do you think caused this, the check engine light was on checked cel code 1 oxygen sensar when i pulled motor out found that the idiot who hooked the air to fuel guage with but connector came looose so wire was dissconnected. same thing happened to me so don't feel bad, i had a walboro 255 pump, p72 ecu, hondata intake manifold gasket, fluidyn radiator, vafc, fmu, map controller, ngk8s, aem fpr, mad retarded timing, and the engine had been completely rebuilt and only went 300 miles with supercharger and all of a sudden...poof...

Yeah p28 with even just with a b series chip isnt gonna be enough fuel. I tested out my buddy's chipped p28 for his itr jrsc(just testing my obd 1 harness) and I fired it up and the thing was spewing black smoke when I reved it once on my B18C. yeah that aint gonna work....

i have a GSR jrsc with a kenji chipped p28 ecu, running stock boost. no problems here for the past 2k miles

your stock fuel pump could have did it. the stock fuel pump will run out of steam after awhile of use when boosting. that would have caused you to lean out. its like the stock fuel pump will get tired after awhile. you should have used a walbro fuel pump.

were you using the JR fmu?
