gsr short block
hello,
i have an opportunity to get a gsr short block for a great price. i know i would also need the heads of course....does anybody know how much these would cost, and how hard to obtain? also, to drop this into a 98 civic ex, what else would i need parts-wise? ecu, tranny, etc? if anybody knows, could you post a decent link for parts of this nature? thank you very much.

Re: gsr short block (nerdy36)
Well considering a new type R transmission is around $1700 (give or take) and the R head goes for around $1200, I say just do a complete GSR swap. This way you'll have EVERYTHING you need. Hope this helps.

its a head, not heads plural. GSR head will cost around 500+, tranny about 600+, then u will need shift linkage, axles (200+) and a 96-98 ECU (150).

Dont buy the block without looking at it. Ive found a few locally that the person selling claimed to be in good condition, one needed to be resleeved with .85 over pistons and the others wouldnt let me come see it. Hiding something? Be carefull.
