would it be better if i used the GSR ecu or could i use a Type R ecu on the GSR. would i see any power differences at all?

The Type R ecu won't open up the butterflies in your GSR intake manifold, hurting your top end performance.

P73 would work best with the Skunk2 Manifold.

I would go with the 93gsr ecu. Best choice IMO

if the car is OBDII then better choice would be a harness converter + ECU.

while the ITR ecu is not bad it can benefit from upgrades as well. also try to stay away from JDM ecus they simply suck. dyno after dyno, alot less power in the low/mid-range then USDM ecus. remeber that the ITR ecus (USDM) have imoblizer function from 00-01
