for the factory hood it will clear the engine but certain carbon fiber hoods won't. just ask eg forum moderator b18c5-eh2(Tom) about his carbon hood with the hood clearence issues. in fact he has a thread that talks about this problem.

Mine fit. I guess it depens on the CF hood.

eh.. i did a b16 swap into my eg... it looked like the hood would barely touch the motor when it sat... well if it doesnt,, then it was very close at least

That usually depends on the mount kit you use. It can always be shimmed down slightly for a little more clearance if needed.
