GSR front Brakes into 93 Civic hatch
What exactly do I need to upgrade my 93 DX hatch brakes to front GSR brakes? For now, I'm going to leave the rear drums as-is.
I assume that I will need the calipers and rotors, but what else? Is this a pure bolt-on process?

no sir....get a complete knuckle from 94+ integras....
knuckle, with a rotor, caliper ....the rest works from your old car.....its all a simple bolt on....

I got a complete set which is the knuckle,rotors,brake lines,and caplipers.I even got the upper ball joint and the plate that is shapped like a "U",can i use that also?

I have a better idea for you. Upgrade completely to GSR rear disk, including the porportioning valve and master cylinder. Leaving the stock fronts will allow you to run a 13" slick if you so desire, but \will increase your stopping power greatly as well. SOmething to think about!!!

Yea i got gsr brakes already but havent had a chance to upgrade the Prop valve and MC.I was going to run 13" lenso's which you can use gsr brakes without spacers or extended wheel studs.So i get the best of both worlds hehe.

The cheap way to upgrade the front brakes would be to swap over the entire 94+ gsr knuckles w/ rotor and caliper and get a 15/16th master cylinder off a 91 civic ex four door. It bolts right up to the stock civic brake booster.
My friend used this mc on his crx with 90-93 gsr brakes. His pedal pressure is the same as it was with the stock brakes, except now he can stop ALOT better.
I plan on using this mc when I upgrade to gsr brakes on my cx. It's only about $60 for a remanufactured one at autozone. Just make sure to keep your resevoir when you trade in your old mc for the core charge because the remanufactured one doesn't come with a resevoir. My friend learned that out the hard way.
