Re: GSR ECU vs Integra Type R ECU (pstreck)
Well, there really isn't a point in using the Type R ecu unless you have a Skunk2 manifold. If you go with the ITR ECU, you lose control of the secondary butterflies which will decrease hp and torque. My suggestion, run a OBD 2 - OBD 1 harness adapter with a chipped OBD 1 GSR computer. You'll have much better power gains that way.

Remember..
..changing cams does not allow you to rev higher. You have to upgrade your valvetrain other wise you will float a valve! If your cheap, use the itr cams, move your intake gsr valvetrain to your exhaust side and get the itr intake valvetrain. Or, just get the entire itr valvetrain along w/ the cams. Also, I would get the latest itr cams 00/01 since the intake cam is closest to the ctr profile [every little bit counts], and all the exh. cams are the same, no big deal there! As far as the ecu, I would get an obd2-obd1 harness and use a obd 1 p72. But, you should seriously consider using the skunk2 single runner manifold, youll get the most out of the cams that way, so, if you decide to go that route use the above harness w/ a chipped p28!
Good luck and have fun!
