Default GSR/DX- CEL #1, normal performance, gas mileage

After swapping, I put in a civic O2 sensor, using the original 94 gsr cat, which sat outside for some time. The car ran fine for about 3K miles, then... bam.... CEL... #1 (primary O2) However, the car still kicks at vtec, doesn't seem to consume any more fuel than normal, smells fine... and overall, runs great. But I've reset a couple times and still... CEL#1.

I am running an Obd1 gsr ecu, car is a 92 (obd1) and has been running A.Ok.

This O2 was relatively new... is it possible that my Catalytic converter is dirty/clogged at all ? Doesn't Code #1 typically result in degraded performance ??

WTF...
