Default Got to wire in vtec -- What gauge wires should I use?

I have the Cx motor out and the engine bay has been scrubbed down with a tooth brush.

This Tuesday my father and I will be installing the timing belt, water pump, distributor cap, rotor buttons, plug wires, plugs, valve cover gasket, and adding all the fluids.

I hope the same day to have the motor mounted in the bay as well.

Just wondering what gauge wires should I use for the vtec? I have the color for each wire. I can't remember if it's 18 or 20 gauge.

Thanks for any input on this!

Do you not have any spare wiring from old harnesses laying around? I always salvage my wiring from other harnesses, then again I have a lot of harnesses to do that with

No, I don't have any harnesses around. Got to pick the wiring up from an auto shop.

I used 14 gauge wires, and it works perfect!

That is huge. Stock wiring is no bigger than 18 ga., usually 20 or 22.

Anyone know off hand what color wires are used from the factory for vtec? I would like to do the same if possible when wiring in vtec.

CAR: 93 Cx
MOTOR: 98 GSR
