got some questions on a b18b into a 2000 civic
so i have about five questions:
if i get a b16 trans for this swap does it make sence to get a turbo with that trans because of the short gears?
next is since it is a obdII motor and a ObdII car should It be plug and play if not what will i have to wire
should i build the motor or just run it stock
about the mounts which ones do i have to get
and the radiator hoses which ones do i have to get and the radiator for that aplication
thanks please get back to me with any answers and comments

Re: got some questions on a b18b into a 2000 civic (whiteciv88)
1. the b16 tranny will be great, but the LS will be even better for forced induction (imo)....the shorter gears seem to run out too fast for turbo.
2. the obd2 is great, but you need to make sure it's obd2a or obd2b....then get a wiring harness for the ecu if they're different.
3. it's mainly personal preference....it'll depend on the style of driving you're planning to use on this setup....so, read around and look at dyno's and stuff for this motor....majority of people will boost it, throw a vtec head on, or just leave it stock.
4. you could get an aftermarket set of mounts like hasport or avid....or get the ones listed here in this thread....https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2304981
5. radiator hoses should be off an ls integra...but i'm not 100% sure....take a measurement of the radiator inlet (both top and bottom) and take it to your parts store and find the hoses that are the same size...but it should be off of an integra....possibly the one's from a 99-00 Civic Si....if you plan on keeping air conditioning....you should keep the side radiator, but if not, get an integra full front radiator and then just get the hoses for the stock LS....
good luck!

from what i understand obd 2a is 96-98 and obd2b is 99-00. the difference is the wiring harness obd2a uses a two peice harnesss whil obd 2b is a one peice harness that runs through the firewall to the ecu.

so then i have a obdIIb and i would just have to get a wiring harness that is the same for that motor and maybe to some splicing right?
