Hey Honda tech I just had to make a new account because I don't remember my password. But I got a 93 eg hatch with a b16a2 swap and for some reason it won't start. I have no clue what it could be. I'm thinking the transmission is locked or the starter is stuck or something but when you turn the key to on you can hear the fuel pump kick on so its getting fuel but it will just click once when you try to start it. It wasn't running when I bought it and they guy I got it from didn't know s#@+ about cars so I figured I'd be an easy fix. But I'm stuck on it. Then if you let off the brake you can hear the main relay start clicking. I really need help. I'm stuck and havent got any progress on it and its been put on hold till I get some advise. So any advise will help. Thanks h-t have a blessed day.

Take the starter out the trans and have a friend turn the key. See if the starter does anything, but why would the main relay click if you take your foot off the brake? Sounds like a wiring mess. Take the swap out and put it in something else, or part it out.. Want to send me the spark plug cover?

well the jack@$$e$ used Philips head screws where 2 of the bolts should go and they're like stuck in there and the wiring is a mess but the car was running not to long ago. And nah I'm trying to keep this swap in it. I just want to get everything in proper working order so I can daily it

You need to get that starter out lol. You may have some work on your hands if its not the starter. All your fuses are good?

yea I know I'm down for all the work though I just want to figure out wtf it is and I checked a few of them but what are the main ones I should check? The ones under the hood I checked and the ones under the dash I didn't all the way cuz I couldn't find a diagram on them and I don't know what ones to look for

Alright thanks bro ill let you know. Any tips on how the hell I can get these screws out they are torqued on so dam tight and it just wants to strip them out their Philips head screw to what ever jack azz would do that.

ill have to wait til we get some warmer weather. its been to cold and windy here but it supposed to warm up tomorow

Ok well I got the starter off its still good. It works fine but it still won't crank by hand.

have you tried push/roll starting it? does it start then?

Did you check your electrical connections? mainly your battery connections. I had a similar issue a few months back and found that my battery to ground was bad, and had corrosion on my battery terminals. once I had all of that cleaned up it started up again. Don't just *look* at them. get a piece of sand paper and sand the corrosion off of the terminals (both bat and connectors).

Yea I tried that it didn't do anything then either. And the battery terminals were clean but I haven't checked all the grounds yet I will look later today and check them. Thanks for the advise. All/any is helpful.

Do both axels have to come out before you can drop it?
