My hybrid is nothing special. Its an EG hatch with a B18C.
It has skunk2 cams and gears, $35 intake, GSR suspension and Brakes, Greddy exhaust and little bits of mods here and there.
After all is said and done, the Hybrid cost me roughtly $10,000 on parts (including the car)

I'm thinking of starting another project but the Honda Hybrid is tough act to follow.
1. It can outrun a lot of cars on the road.
2. Handles like a true sports car.
3. Gets 24-25mpg in the city and 27-30 in highway
4. Very Reliable <-- No clicking, hard starting or oil buring smell after a hard run.

The only downside is it attract thieves more than the other cars. (mine just got broken in a few days ago).

240 with an sr20 or rb26.
thats more fun.

you can get a 240 for about 6500 or one without an engine for 3-4 and put an sr20 in for about 3000 or rb26 for 5000.

my friend just did the sr20 swap into his 240 and he loves it.I havnt actually got a chance to run against him(cuz my vtec isnt working still)but I agree he spent alot less on his car overall and is running high 13's

last time i checked, the rb26dett will run you more than that. This due to the fabrication needed for the swap. I read on 240sx.org(may be wrong with the add.) that when all is said and done, its closer to 15k installed.

However, the capabilities of the RB are tremendous

I agree though that a 240 with a sr20det is the way to go.

My brother is selling his sil80 for $6500. If anyone is in the so cal area come by and check it out if you are seriously interested. The car has a s13 motor, some bolt ons, and some extra suspension parts not yet installed onto the car. IM me for details. All the hard work, installation, is done just need to get it dyno tuned and it should be good to go. Driving a 240 with the sr20 swap is a blast to drive. RWD + Turbo owns. The hks 180sx with the rb26 is running 7's in the 1/4 mile. Nissan is just as reliable as toyota and nissan. Don't know how well there trannies hold up but I never read anything about a tranny issue with nissan.

I was searching over the internet and the 240SXs are 6,500-9,000(95-98) and an s14 motor is 3,500 for a swap.
Could be an alternative to a honda Hybrid.

Another is the MR2 witht he 3sgte turbo motor. They start out expesive though around 10K.

To the guy who suggested to strip the car.... I just might do that.
