Default G23 Head Gasket

Interested in doing a G23, F23 block, 86.5mm, DOHC VTEC head. Kinda getting turned off by the poor head gasket fitment that Ive seen from other users, some with major oil leaks, others welding & resurfacing the head, etc. Is there a proper to bolt this together oem quality? Im aware of and willing to plug the holes in the head, but thats about it.

If you look close this is how i think the right way is.. tap oil holes that wont be used and put a plug in them so that way you can always take them out if you decide to put head back on a h22 later

Well after a year I'd assume you would have figured something out but for the sake of sharing tips and tricks I'll tell you what I did. I also have the KS Tuned plugs. What I did was put black RTV on the side of the plugs that goes into the head, red thread locker around the sides of the plugs, and pushed them in place. Once seated in place, I added more black RTV to the bottom of the plugs, then steel stick on that, then more black RTV. For the plug that goes way back in there I seated it flush with the surface of the inside of the head. As in you can't see the rubber seals of the plugs at all from top or bottom. I am still in the process of assembling the engine, but I can't image it would leak at this point.
