I was going to do a hydro swap in my crx, but have decided against that for now, due to a crack in the s80 gear cover. Due to some unforseen circumstances, I need the car up and running in a couple of days and do not want to get hacking on the body just yet.

Can the LS shafts swap directly into the s1 trans? My S1 is shot, no fourth gear, 3 and 5 are a pain to get into. I know swapping diffs requires grinding, but since I'm using the s1 diff in the s1 case (I've been told the ls and s1 diffs are interchangeable; supposedly this s1 has an lsd in it)

I've seen where the gsr gearsets will go into the YS1 trans, so I THINK it will work but since I'm not playing with what I've already seen done, figured I'd ask so I'm not surprised if something doesn't work

S80 shafts (main and counter) and the gear stack will be too long for the S1 housing.

Will not fit. Dimensions are all different: shaft diameters, center distances, case lengths, etc.
