Yes exactly like he said. I used my d-series harness and just converted from OBD2A to OBD1. I got a chipped P28 ecu. I got all this stuff from John Vega over at Phearable.net. He is a great guy and knows his stuff.

Are you talking about a 99 si tranny? If so just keep it. The Itr tranny while it is a great tranny, and has LSD, it is very expensive. That call really is up to your wallet. If you can sell the swap and get a enough for the ITR tranny then go ahead, but if it was me, I would stay with the Si. I just like to be as practical about money as I can.

I just used the auto tensioner since the motor was from 2000, and there havent been any problems out of the 2000 auto tensioners, the earlier motors I believe had some problems out of the auto tensioners. But it was corrected by the 2000 models.

If you can get the money for the tranny, and get u a ITR go ahead and do it. Build that H2B badass dude.

No I tried the other connector on the ICM that is empty and nothing. I am just going to buy a obd1 h22a JDM dizzy, and just splice the wires. I am tired of trying to figure it out. LOL.

Ok so here is my checklist.
tell me if it sounds right for my 97 civic hatch

- h22a complete motor (check)
-b16 tranny and clutch flywheel (check)
-jumper harness, obd2a-obd1 (check)
-new water pump (dont know if i need or not?)
- b series motor mounts( check)
- cherry picker (check)
- b series starter( check)
-b series shift linkage (check)
- b series axles (check)
- help from my boys at "honda-tech" (priceless)

haha i thought i would throw that in there. but seriously does that sound about right. besided the quater sports kit.??? and is there anything i should save off of my d series motor for the swap? and also the ecu and stuff. i dont understand what one i am suppose to use. or is that exactly what the jumper harness is for?
i buy the kit thursday!!! im gunna tell em Brax sent me haha
thanks guys,

daron,

do you think you would need to bang the driver side frame rail if you used the explicit bracket with a d-series altenator?

I addressed this issue in the H2B FAQ

but yes, that's a good start

What all have you tried? I spoke with blundar tonight and he was saying something about getting the rpm signal from the coil ground. I've looked in the dizzy and found a white wire with a dark blue line on it that goes from the ICM to the coil, But there's no external lead to it. I'm thinking that if we tap into this wire, we'll get our RPM signal.

Once we get this signal, does it go to the ecu and then to the tach? Where does the ECU get it's signal from?

Black wire with yellow line, I believe I tried that thanks to thehatchninja.
White wire with dark blue line is what I suspect it to be, but I think we'll have to splice into that wire and get our signal.

I'm trying to download some 98-02 F23 accord manuals but I can only find one and it's not finished downloading.

550, that would be large if you dont have much all motor stuff done. I would just stay with the stock ones at this time, unless you have extensive all motor stuff done, Not just intake, exhaust,. and header.

U can see where I ran my rpm lead wire too, I just unscrewed the screw holding the coil power wire to the coil, and then place my rpm sgnal lead wire there and screwed the screw back in.
