fuel injectors not firing after b18a swap into ef
I just put in an obd0 b18a into an 88 crx.The car won't start. Car cranks, gets spark, has fuel pressure but when I pull a plug and crank it, it dosn't smell like its getting fuel. The injector is getting power, and ground. I've tried 2 different ecu's and resistor boxes. What am I missing? Seems like the injector isn't getting a signal or something. Any help would be great.TIA

Have you just tried to swap out the injectors yet, maybe with the stock EF injectors?
Do you know if the B18 engine was running before it was pulled or not?

I do belive it was running before I got it the place that I got it from test runs them before they take them out. I'm going to call them and double check though. I haven't actually taken them out and replaced them yet but i'll try that as well. Is there a possibility that there is an air lock somewhere right before the injectors. I've pulled the reture hose off and primed the pump a few times but maybe there is an air lock somewhere.

it's possible that the injectors are clogged. The fuel we get out of the pump only has a shelf life of @ 2-3 weeks before it starts to varnish and this can clog up injectors very quickly. Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail?

yes there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail. The place that I bought the engine from said they test ran it before they sold it to me, but they sold the dizzy seperatly and had to find me a different one. Is it possible that the dizzy could cause the injectors to not fire?

the dizzy can cause the plugs not to fire but will not make the injectors stop squirting fuel.

are the b18 injectors peak and hold? I thought they were saturated (I would check myself, but search is down).

i had this exact same problem when i went to startup my b18a after the swap. Turns out all 4 injectors were clogged from sitting for so long. I tried out my friends civic injectors and it fired right up. Took my injectors to be cleaned and voila, it ran perfect.
