Fuel Filter for h22 eg?
what are you guys using? I tried to start mine up last night for the first time, and gas squirted out, but I think it was because I was missing a washer. is the 99si fuel filter going to work for me?
thanks!
thanks!

a stock filter should work fine. I think you are missing a washer
Although I've seen people do away with the whole assembly and just get an inline filter simple and effecient.

well the one I saw was pretty 'ghetto', but actually worked quite well.
He just did away with the entire fuel filter assembly. Cut off the flared fitting...Got fuel hose, put it over the end and clamped it down with a hose clamp, ran it straight to an inline filter with another clamp, clamp on the out end of the filter with a cut stock h22 fuel line....
Does that make sense? the only banjo fitting he kept was the one on the h22 fuel rail. everything else was just cut to size fuel hose from pep boys, and hose clamps.
Like I said, it actually worked well. he got the filter from like Summit or something...i forget which model exactly.

Re: Fuel Filter for h22 eg? (hot_EG)
wow... that is ghetto... I dont know if I would trust some pep boys clamps with my life. I will post up a pic of the bracket I made to move the fuel filter and how I bent the hard line to go through the bottom of the SI filter. it almost seams that the SI filter has a shorter inlet for the fuel line... like it doesn't screw all the way in. Is anyone else using an SI fuel filter? I got the washer I was missing, so I will give it a try again today.
