I have read about the 2 wire iacv I will have to deal with bc of the engine swap and I already did a vtec head swap so all that is takin care of wire wise, but going from auto to manual, will I have to replace the whole harness or is there a way that the 96 harness will work ? I dont think it will bc of the trans connector hook ups, but hoping someone will tell me other wise.lol

lol. Where's Fort Frances? If it's near Redding, I wouldn't mind coming to help. Are going to tackle the auto to manual swap first?

its in north ontario canada...I think you are in cali,,, thats pretty far,,,lol

pulling motor and trans out of donor car first, see how it looks, then go from there.
then pull the y8 out of my cx and put motor in. tackle things like auto to manual wire harness, no 1 has commented on that question yet,

power steering may be a issue, cx hose may not reach,,,

thou maybe i should tackle the shifter and linkage first since it will be easier and
with no engine in the way, cutting out that "panel" thats in the way.

but all tips and comments are welcome, cheers.

You would think if you're using the harness and ecu from the donor car, you shouldn't have any issues...

for the front left axle, do I just remove the bolts holding the intermediate axle shaft to the engine, then pop out the axle from diff? after all the balljoint, pinchbolt and fork of course. It looks like I have to take it all off to remove the axle from diff.

Nothing wrong with it, I prefer hatch style,. But my y8 is lacking the power of a B.
