Default fluidyne or gsr radiator.

what do you guys think i should get. iam running 12.1 compression in a lsvtec in a crx and it is daily driven do you think i can get away with a p30 water pump, spoon thermostat, spoon radiator cap, and a gsr radiator. Or just go with a fluidyne and a p30. Give me your opinions. I am really wondering what some of you are using.

uhh..
the B16 water pump is standard on all DOHC VTEC engines.....they're all the same. So there's no way outta that.

I say go with a Fluidyne radiator for an EF (long type). It doesn't hurt to have better engine cooling capabilities - meaning, a fluidyne is better than a GSR radiator. I don't think a Spoon rad cap will work on a Fluidyne rad tho...

oops i miss informed...
I meant all B-series DOHC VTEC engines have all the same type of water pump.

I know what you meant about the spoon cap....I was giving you additional info that it might not fit a Fluidyne rad. A step ahead of ya there....it's all good

Also a GSR radiator wont fit in an EF unless you make custom lower mount brackets. The radiator is to high. I already tried. You could however get a 90-93 integra radiator. They are plastic end tanks instead of metal, and seem to be more efficient. This was my car btw, yours may be different. I may have just had a bad radiator.

Fluidynes suck. Get the real thing.
(317)293-4100 ask for Rob. http://www.crracing.com

FYI-this has nothing to do with me, other than just to recommend the better radiator. Oh, and you can take 90% of NASCAR teams' word for it.

IMHO you do not need to spend boku bucks on Fluidyne if you are N/A I say get an OEM replacement radiator for any b-series engine and your cooling should be fine. You can get those for a litte over a hundred bucks. I say this because $$$ is always an issue for me.

Haha, yeah, those 800hp race cars that do 190 can't touch your Civic. Those race engineers can't know anything since they work on stupid V-8 pushrod engines.
I don't like watching NASCAR at all, but they are still highly developed race cars. Not up to par with Forumla 1 but still very expensive and well engineered race cars.

And they still get really hot. 500 miles at peak rpm....hrmm......and they choose NOT to run a Fluidyne. I've heard that Fluidyne gives radiators away just to try and keep business away from superior C&R products. Call them and tell them you're going to buy a C&R, and they'll probably give you a free Fluidyne.

If you go for the fluidyne, http://www.absoluteradiator has them for cheaper than I've seen them anywhere else.

but will anyone here drive their car at 190mph at peak rpm for 500 miles..?

at this point one begins to question the purpose of their car..

i'd get the cheapest dual core that will fit if i were you.
