finished swap not running right
i just finished my swap into my 89 si hatch. its a 91 ls and it was running fine until a week ago when i let it sit for about 20 min and went to start it and it wouldnt start so i left it at a parking lot and got a tow truck the next day and it started right up like nothing even happend until 2 days later it did it again and i sprayed some carb cleaner into the intake manifold and it fired right up but when i hit the gas it would bog down and die and know its throwing codes 3 and sometimes 4 and it also has 3 steady blinks that last for about 2 seconds each. if it also starts and runs it shoots alot of black smoke if you can get on the gas and runs rough and sounds like its carburated.

Re: finished swap not running right (lsvtecrocket)
MAP sensor problem??? is your MAP sensor connected correctly? is your MAP sensor working? do you have a MAP sensor?

you got some bad wiring somewhere if you're getting code 3 and 4, code 4 is in your distributor or your distributor wiring, code 3 the vacuum line coming from the map, where do you have that going. the map sensor wiring is part of the car harness on those so you shouldnt of had to change anythng on it

Definitely check and see what codes you are throwing for sure then troubleshoot. If you are throwing code 3 MAP that's a major sensor and needs fixed asap. You might have more problems than you are aware of. Check the CEL's and let us know what codes are being thrown for anyone to help you.
