Default Finished mY JDM itr swap

Ordered the engine last friday from Hmotorsonline, got it on tuesday, engine looked damn good, we installed on wednesday and had it running by thursday (did a compression test and it was hitting 270 psi in all cylinders(( iwas waiting for SGT to send me a basemap for the ITR for hondata until I get my harness adapter). I have a ITR AEM CAI, JDM 4-1 header, skunk2/rsr N-1 Exhaust full stainless. THe power delivery is nice and smooth, midrange is great but I was expecting it to be a little bid more aggresive. Keep in mind that my last motor was a b18c1 block with CTR pistons, fully balanced and blueprinted, with a fully ported and polished b16 head with JUN III cams, all of this was running of a SGT tuned JUn III map. Yeah insane top end. Sold this motor to another Honda-tech member. One thing however im using a stock fuel pressure regulator with a fuel gauge and with the line on im at 48 psi, isnt that a bit much for a stock JDM ITR engine.

When I first got my B18C5 running in my old 1992 hatch I thought it lacked some midrange.

After getting it on a dyno for the first time I could see that it did have a lack of mid and a pre-VTEC dip. It was still good for 175/123 on the rollers with only an intake, exhaust, and Kenji-spec P28 ECU and 13.9@101mph in a full interior'd 2289lb. hatch on street tires with a 2.4 60 footer, and 13.3@101mph in a 2040lb. CX hatch with a 2.0 60 footer.

I installed a V-AFC and tuned it and got +20whp and +20ft-lbs. of torque from tuning with that and a fuel pressure regulator!

Needless to say that the engine oulls much harder in the midrange, and now when the rpm drop to just above 6000rpm when shifting there is no drop in the pulling power.

Sorry to say that I don't even know where the fuel pressure it st because the tuner was just bumping it up accordingly to fix my lean spots and then trimming back the fuel in the parts that were then too rich with the V-AFC.

With Hondata and bolt-ons you could easily see 180whp with a much fatter midrange, especially considering that you have 11:1 CR and I only have 10.6:1 CR.
