this si the final check list before i go full ahead with the h22a swap into a 93 cx. ive done mounds of research and i have come to this conclusion.
1. mounts: will use bolt on HCP mounts for my EG
2. shift linkage: the 90-93 accord or 93-96 prelude will do. which one can i use to reutilize my cupholder?
3. Axels: 88-91 integra driver and passenger axels will do, 90-93 accord intermidiate shaft will do also.
4. Harness: a 90-93 accord harness(will this need modifing or is it plug n play) w/ stock P13 ECU.
5. Cooling: will use full face integra radiator

thats all i have right now, anyone think my setup is flawed in anyway?
just making sure i get it all right before i start the project, cause im a newb for H22a swap

Well depending on where youget your swap from they should include the shifter cables that you can use.

For the harness I used my stock Dx harness and modified it. Im pretty sure no matter which harness you use your gonna have to extend wires regardless.

Im also using a GSR radiator, dont forget about the upper and lower hoses though. hope this helps

i plan to pick up a jdm h22a motor which consists of a tranny, block, and head. i was planning to buy the other essentials separately because i would be replacing them anyways with non prelude parts that wouldnt come with the complete swap.will my CX harness work w/ extensions?

You are gonna need mad little parts hear and there if you are only getting what you are saying, hopefully you are getting it for a good deal.


I dont see why you couldnt use your cx harness, I mean you gonna need to add vtec, kncok sensor etc, pm poison he has a badass wiring diagram that will help you.

timing belt, water pump, blancer shaft belt, possible gaskets cause no jdm motor ever comes with 40 000km..... don't neglect the little things cause they can become big things when your belt snaps. Try and get the swap with the shift linkage cause its hard to find. trust me.

I beg to differ my h22 swap from Steve at hmo came with just about that if not less by the look of the stock timing belt that I relplaced. But for the most part everything you said is a very good idea to change while its not in the car. I feel it also helps you get more familiar with the motor before its crammed inside the bay. IMO

You will also need a custom fuel line. The factory fuel line will not reach the fuel filter from the fuel rail.

So you will need to make a custom longer hose to reach from the civic fuel filter on the firewall to the other end of the prelude fuel rail.

You will need a longer fuel hose, and hose connectors with hose clamps, or you can do what I did and call up a local hose place and have a custom fuel hose made with one end (the civic for the filter) and the other end (prelude fuel rail).

Everything else looks good

I had to rig up a custom clutch line, but I was putting my h22 into a ej6, but that was an adventure in itself, becuase I wasnt expecting that.

Hmm, the stock civic rubber line should go into the Prelude slave cylinder just fine and match up with the civic hydraulic line.

why not just get a 90-91 Accord fuel rail so you can use the stock fuel line? thats what I did and it looks great.

I dont really understand the question but I have the pressure set @40 psi and the reg is in the stock location.

Oh alright, I mean I already rigged up my fuel, but maybe next, I think mine came out pretty good though without using that accord fuel rail. I never heard about that till this thread actually. I should show you a pic of mine its pretty decent.

I'm using 86 prelude SI fuel line....it's twice the lenght of the civic one....took from a wreck lude in a local yard(fit well into you pants )......

or use accord fuel rail(F22A1/4 fit pretty well BTW)
or upgrade for aftermarket fuel rail+FPR...y not!!

fastwanabe, how far did you have to move your fuel filter over?

do yoiu have fuel lines made fastwanabe? if so, how much are they? in addition, where did you find your oddball parts (accord halfshaft/axels/shift linkage)? im in the process of obtaining a h22a, will be at my house pretty soon.
