Few question about h22 swap...
Okay im going to do an h22 swap in my eg civic using the hcp kit and just had a few questions.
1) If anyone uses dss axles how do they fit? Would i still need to use an intermediateshaft if i use the dss axles?
2) I heard that I would need to change the tranny brackets to make it fit right and/or make it stop from rattling or vibrating. Is this true?
3) Anything else i need to know to make this swap run perfectly?
Thanks.

How strong is the prelude intermediateshaft?
Also what about cooling issues. What kind of radiator/fan can i use that would help out.

I dont know how strong it is, but I have never heard or read about someone breaking it.
I am running a GSR radiator and a slim fan from Pepboys that is real nice.

What do you need to know about the tranny bracket. When you decide on which mount kit you want either HCP or Hasport they all come with a tranny bracket.

Intermediate shafts don't ever break under driving conditions. As for the cooling issues, all depends on your car. Some cars need a dual core radiator, some don't, so it all depends. It's good/wise to upgrade the radiator and fuel pump, but sometimes it's not needed.

Yes. The HCP EG-22 mount kit consists of replacement rear mount that bolts to the rear crossmember, tranny mount that bolts to the tranny and to the framerail mount on the car, and a driver side mount that bolts to the engine and to the stock frame bracket location on the car. Click HERE for more picts and info on it.
