FD2 cam performance vs EP3 cams???

Default FD2 cam performance vs EP3 cams???

I know u can drop the FD2 cams straight in to the ep3 head,,,,,but what would the performance difference be?would i get a significant power gain??

Well since your location says south africa, im assuming you have a civic type r. the fd2 cams should give you some gains but the only way to know for sure would be do dyno it.

thanks guys for the prompt response....yes I have the 2004 CTR ep3....Do you know of anyone who has done this yet??I also wander if it would be better to just save up more money and get something like skunk2 stg 1 cams or brian crower cams??
10-15 hp isnt too bad for a quick cam change.im in 2 minds now.......

fd2 cams are the same as dc5r cams

fd2 gets its power from extra compression, superior intake manifold and better exhaust manifold

You wont need the springs and retainers,youll be safe with just the camshafts
The FD2 and the Ep3 both redline the same,ur rev limiters wont change ,ur just gonna rev a bit quicker,there wont be a major change in performance,so dont expect major horse power,ul just gain a lil more torque.But its not a negative modification,go for it....
