chipped p28 in my gsr ---> solid CEL
Okay, this is getting really frustrating..
My chipped p72 just took a dump on me and keeps throwing a CEL 4.. so i swapped in a p28 that's also chipped for hondata.. I took out my hondata chip and put it in the p28 and started her up..
Now i get a solid CEL.. Even when I check for the code, the CEL is still solid.. What gives?? the car idles and revs fine, but the solid CEL wont go away..
Keep in mind the soldering is all good, because the p28 worked w/o any CELs in my friends ex hatch when he was running hondata..
Any suggestions?? i'm about to give up on this

Did you manage to find a fix for this? (I know this thread is 5yrs old but still worth a try)
I have a solid CEL on a H22 EG civic swap running a P28 ECU, it dissapears when using the stock P13 ECU

Just to put a little closure to this thread I wanted to say the resolution of my problem ended up being a new ecu. The old board looked like it was soldered correctly when it was socketed but something was wrong. I ordered a p28 from phearable and all is well.
